The family pictures of George and Hazel Flint can now be viewed online! [Access the images by clicking here] Currently there are 309 images on the site, scanned from a variety of snapshot prints and portraits. The collection is much bigger, around 500 images and some 300-500 slides, but for now, I wanted to get the images I have already scanned online.
As always, we can use your help in identifying the individuals, places, and stories surrounding individual images. As you look through them, use the comments section to jot down any memories or notes the image brings to mind.
The Flint Family Images are part of a larger Digital Image Archive project (DIA) underway to scan and catalog images from the Flint, Jones, Molnar, and Walker families. The entire project consists of an estimated 50,000 images in the form of prints, negatives, and slides. The goal is to make the images available to family and friends in a digital format while preserving and archiving the original media. I will be posting more information regarding DIA in the near future.
